In this 17 minute video I use VO from a couple different interviews as the spine with existing footage to connect his ideas to the people he’s talking about. I first interviewed the pastor for The Last Caravan (Los Angeles Magazine 2018) shortly after his migrant shelter opened in Tijuana. He’s been navigating the corridors of power of the Mexican government advocating for migrants with a watchful eye on U.S. border policy. He recently traveled to Washington D.C. has become the subject of some American journalism.

In this VIDEO you see my footage from the Chaparral migrant camp in Tijuana from last year and from the Agape shelter, the Tijuana dump and some other existing cell phone video courtesy of Pastor Albert Rivera, plus Spanish language broadcast news footage from protests and drone footage by TJ stringer, Elegio Hernández.
