I went to the Persian Gulf with MySpace. They executive produced a documentary I directed called The Sandbox that, as of now, it’s unreleased… sitting on a hard drive in my office. I interviewed soldiers and sent cameras to their significant others and families. They taped themselves and returned them as part of the project. You can see them in my friends on MySpace. I’ve stayed in touch with some of them as they attempt to integrate back into their lives at home, the lingering effects of war present some serious challenges.
MySpace was hosting a concert with some performers and bands: Filter, The Disturbed, Jessica Simpson and The Pussy Cat Dolls. Carlos Mencia hosted. I interviewed most of them before we went.
