A few months ago I went to the Persian Gulf with MySpace. They executive produced a documentary I directed called The Sandbox that will initially be released as a series of viral videos… then a feature length documentary. MySpace was hosting a concert with some performers and bands: Filter, The Disturbed, Jessica Simpson and The Pussy Cat Dolls. Carlos Mencia hosted. I interviewed most of them before we went.

It was over the top. A full-on concert on a military base Kuwait. The soldiers were incredible grateful. I interviewed some of them and sent cameras to their significant others and families. They taped themselves and returned them as part of the project. I’ve stayed in touch with a lot of them. You can see them in my top friends on MySpace.
